Ingredients:
2 cups Plew Farm maple syrup
1 cup milk
2 teaspoons baking powder
11/2 cups flour
2 Tablespoons butter
½ teaspoon vanilla
¼ teaspoon salt
1 egg
¾ cup Plew Farm maple sugar
2 cups light cream
Directions:
Pour maple syrup into a deep, buttered 2 quart baking pan.
Cream butter and sugar, add egg, and beat. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Add dry ingredients and milk alternately to the butter and sugar mixture, stir in vanilla. Pour cake batter on the maple syrup, and pour the cream over the cake. Bake at 350 degrees 30 minutes. This is a sweet, gooey cake, delicious served with Maple Whipped Cream.
